Ballen

Ballen is the name behind the DJ and music producer Kevin Leichtweis Balensiefer, born in Santo Ângelo, in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul. Influenced by grunge bands from the 1990s and his idol Kurt Cobain, Kevin ended up leaning towards music and began his career at the age of 11 when he got his first guitar. At 15, realizing that he had a greater affinity for drums, he traded the guitar strings for the acoustic drums. In the year 2015, he decided to exchange the drums for CDJs, starting his career as a DJ and music producer. Drawing a strong rhythmic influence from his past, his sound identity is composed by afro house influence, with a lot of percussion, impactful basslines, progressiveness, and melody.
