M A G S is the artist pseudonym for emerging Toronto based melodic house and afro-tech DJ/producer, Shayne Maglay. M A G S’ style merges house and techno by incorporating organic instrumentation, rolling basslines, piano motifs, deep house groves, latin/afro percussion, and electronic arpeggiation - creating a sound that is specific and unique to himself. Born Canadian to artistic parents of Irish and Slovak descent, M A G S comes from a music background having played piano and drums since childhood. He began producing his own music in 2022 and has since made a name for himself quickly in Toronto’s electronic music scene, as well as internationally.
